Legal Project is Ensuring Election Integrity and Leveling the Playing Field Against Progressive NGOs

Concerns about election integrity are heightened among conservative voters. The rise of government-funded progressive NGOs has deepened worries about their access to voter data, which could lead to potential election interference. These organizations have resorted to tactics like ballot harvesting and data illegal data transactions that threaten the core of our democratic process. Our legal project is designed to confront these challenges directly, aiming to bolster election integrity and create a fairer electoral landscape.

Understanding the Threat

In recent years, alarming evidence has come to light regarding certain NGOs unlawfully accessing sensitive voter information. For example, the 'All In Campus Democracy Challenge' is using illegally using private student data and public resources in student-targeted voter registration drives (VRD) and get-out-the-vote (GOTV) campaigns in order to rig federal elections. They are active in swing states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. The perpetrators of the scheme include public universities and private progressive NGOs. This manipulation of voter data creates unfair advantages and erodes trust in the electoral system.

In battleground states where elections tend to be extremely close these significant VRD and GOTV schemes can alter the outcomes of elections.

When trust declines, voter participation often drops, creating a cycle that undermines democratic foundations. It is essential to recognize how these organizations use tactics like misleading information campaigns to sway public perception and manipulate outcomes. Awareness of these strategies is vital for fostering a resilient democracy.

The Role of Our Legal Project

Our legal initiative is committed to countering the tactics employed by these NGOs to ensure that elections remain fair. With a proven track record, our project uses the legal system as a powerful tool for advocacy and change.

We partner with other organizations and provide legal project management for specific individuals and organizations affected by unlawful practices in the electoral process. Last week, we filed a federal complaint against the Department of Education compelling it to enforce existing laws (FERPA) to stop organizations caught manipulating voter registrations.

Our strategy is different from traditional litigation, in that we use litigation as a last resort due to its cost. Instead, we work to ensure high Return on Investment for our donors through our investigate-educate-litigate process. Our focus on legal reform aims to uphold election integrity in a cost-effective and robust manner.

By implementing proactive legal measures, we hold accountable those exploiting loopholes in the voting system. Our cases are built on rigorous research and evidence, making us an effective force against entities violating electoral laws.

Viability

Our legal project is having success!

  • The current administration has shown a strong propensity to support just and fair elections.  It has also been aggressive in the use of federal funds as a means of obtaining compliance.

  • If forced to litigate, from our perspective, there are clear violations of FERPA and HAVA.

  • Linda McMahon issued a letter to educators nationwide Friday stating, "over the last four years, instead of vigorously enforcing these laws, the Biden Administration neglected the flood of complaints it received." And she stated, "advantage of this dereliction of government responsibility and installed policies that specifically instruct teachers and administrators to conceal student’s critical information in student records from their parents."

Education and Awareness

Our strategy prioritizes education and awareness along with strategic litigation. We have found that this dramatically improves outcomes, increases time to resolution, and reduces cost. We actively engage with communities to ensure that voters understand their rights and the risks of data misuse. We inform government officials of the clear violations of the law. And we expect decisive action.

Our outreach aims to demystify tactics like ballot harvesting, commonly used by progressive NGOs to sway voter turnout. By empowering citizens with knowledge, we enable them to protect themselves and their votes, fostering a more informed electorate.

Collaborative Efforts

Collaboration is crucial to our project's success. We partner with various stakeholders, including other legal entities and advocacy groups, to form a formidable coalition against progressive NGOs.

Our partnerships allow us to share valuable resources and intelligence, enhancing our collective efforts to combat unlawful actions that threaten individual rights and election integrity. For example, collaborating with a national voter advocacy organization led to a parallel strategic letter written by a our partner also delivered to Ms. Linda McMahon the Director of the DoE. The idea is to show strong community support and multiple front pressure to increase likelihood of outcomes.

Heather Honey, of Verity Vote has published an excellent, publicly-available report, relying on publicly-available documents, to detail the purported FERPA violations for partisan advantage:  https://verityvote.us/student-data-sharing-for-partisan-advantage/.   This report has survived much scrutiny.  It essentially serves as a stand-alone supplement to isuegov.com’s FERPA complaint. Based on the Verity Vote report, the Department of Education must take “action” under 20 U.S. Code § 1232g(b)(7) to stop the FERPA violations associated with NSC’s, NSLVE’s and ALL IN’s student-targeted voter registration drives and student-targeted get-out-the-vote campaigns.

Taking Action Together

The threats surrounding voter data access and undue influence from NGOs require immediate attention. As we continue our legal battle for election integrity, we invite concerned citizens, particularly conservative voters, to join our cause. Supporting our work means staying informed and participating in advocacy.

Engage with local representatives to voice your concerns about election integrity and data manipulation. Encourage others in your community to stay vigilant and report suspicious activities.

Monitor upcoming elections closely and ensure your voice is heard at the ballot box. Each election is an opportunity for individuals to assert their power and influence choices. Collectively, we must work tirelessly to protect that right.

Looking Ahead

In a landscape where election integrity faces ongoing threats from progressive NGOs, our legal project stands as a beacon of hope and action. Through dedicated legal advocacy, community education, and collaborative efforts, we commit to shielding the democratic process.

Now is the time for citizens to rise against unlawful practices and ensure elections are fair. Every vote should count, and we strive to preserve that principle. To learn more about our ongoing work and how you can get involved, visit our legal project page.

Let us unite in this mission to safeguard electoral integrity and empower every voice in our democracy. Together, we can create a fairer playing field and secure a brighter future for our elections.
