Summary
Community Data Centers Partnership assists community leaders in educating local officials about responsible data-center design—including water-efficient cooling options and adjacent energy approaches—and in engaging lawful local processes. Where ordinances or administrative actions unlawfully or excessively block community-benefiting projects, the initiative may support litigation through independent counsel.
This is a community-led partnership. Five Stones Legal Defense Fund is not a law firm and does not direct any litigation. Partners or communities retain independent counsel directly. Designated gifts support community education and organizing.
Overview
The objectives are accurate water and energy facts in the local record, strong local coalitions, and separate counsel where a local action is illegal, excessive, or defective.
Design and limits
Water use depends on the design. This project does not claim that a data center uses no water. Adjacent generation is a design goal. This project does not promise lower bills or surplus power. It makes no outcome promises.

Gifts
A gift may be designated to this project's fund or to Five Stones Legal Defense Fund as a whole. A designation is not a stake in any case.
